Tree huggers and Vegans everywhere will want to pick up popular blogger Cathy Katin-Grazzini’s cookbook, Love the Foods That Love the Planet: Recipes that Cool the Climate and Excite the Senses. Climate change has been going on since the world began, and so those who feel the need to stop it or slow it down will want to cook from this cookbook.
The first chapters are filled with left-wing climate propaganda, as well as cooking hints and tips. As well as cooking helps. Next is a chapter with excellent spice mixes and basic sauces made vegan and calling for special ingredients.
Even for non-vegans. There are some appealing recipes, especially for some mouthwatering breads. The recipes have nuances from all over the world, which makes it a bit more fun. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that make it easy or both beginning and advanced cooks. The recipes are not quick and easy; many have fairly long lists of ingredients and instructions. The author has included good notes at the beginning of each recipe which are very helpful.
Many of the recipes are accompanied by beautiful, professional photographs which is a “must have” for any decent cookbook.
